Karuna Wellbeing Ltd offer a range of Combination therapy to help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. We use this in our life limiting conditions and injury treatments to help the body to heal and rebalance. Combination therapy is where Various techniques are used, such as Myofascial dry cupping, Vibrational therapy, Gua Sha, reflexology, etc to relieve tension and stress.
At the moment, the techniques that Karuna Wellbeing use are:
- Gua Sha
- Gua Sha aims to remove energy, known as qi or chi, around the body. The treatment involves using a tool to rub the skin in long strokes, applying enough pressure to create minor bruising. Gua Sha may help to break down scar tissue and connective tissue, improving movement in joints.
- Vibrational therapy
- Vibrational therapy (aka massage gun) reduces soreness and interleukin-6. It may stimulate lymphocyte and neutrophil responses and can be a useful modality in treating muscle inflammation and improves flexibility. It works the same way as a deep tissue massage.
- Myofascial dry cupping
- Myofascial decompression or cupping is a therapy that helps treat musculoskeletal disorders by using suction to create negative pressure underneath the cup.
This is fairly new to the clinic, 2022, in the future we have plans to expand the combination therapies to involve further treatments, such as reflexology, deep tissue, dry needling.
